صرح الفريق أسامة ربيع رئيس هيئة قناة السويس.. اليوم الأحد.. 

بأن جهود تعويم سفينة الحاويات البنمية العملاقة EVER GIVEN مستمرة على مدار الساعة من خلال القيام بأعمال التكريك نهارا.. وعمل مناورات الشد بالقاطرات في أوقات تتلائم مع ظروف المد والجزر..

وأوضح رئيس الهيئة 

أن نتائج أعمال التكريك بواسطة الكراكة مشهور إحدى كراكات الهيئة بلغت حتى الآن ٢٧ ألف متر مكعب من الرمال..

 على عمق وصل إلى ١٨ مترا.. مع مراعاة حدوث انهيارات ترابية من أسفل السفينة للمناطق التي يتم تكريكها..

وتتواصل أعمال التكريك لإزالة الرمال المحيطة بمقدمة السفينة لتسهيل عملية تعويم السفينة وذلك جنبا إلى جنب مع القيام بمناورات الشد بواسطة قاطرات الهيئة في توقيتات تتلائم مع المد والجذر واتجاه الرياح.

وأعلن رئيس الهيئة بأنه من المقرر الدفع بالقاطرتين الجديدتين القاطرة * عبد الحميد يوسف * و القاطرة *مصطفى محمود* للمشاركة في مناورات الشد بعد اكتمال بنائهما بترسانة بورسعيد البحرية بقوة شد ٧٠ طن وانتهاء  تجارب البحر وتجارب التشغيل، بما يحقق الاستفادة من إمكانياتهم وقدراتهم التي تواكب أحدث ما وصلت إليه تكنولوجيا صناعة الوحدات البحرية المعاونة.

وأشار رئيس الهيئة إلى أن مناورات الشد تمت أمس بواسطة ١٢ قاطرة تقوم بالعمل من ثلاثة اتجاهات مختلفة، حيث تعمل القاطرتان بركة ١ وعزت عادل على شد مقدمة السفينة. فيما تقوم ٦ قاطرات بدفع مؤخر السفينة جنوبا. وتقوم أربع قاطرات أخرى بشد مؤخر السفينة جنوبا.

جدير بالإشارة. إلى أن القاطرتين الجديدتين تتماثلان في المواصفات الفنية.. يبلغ طول كل قاطرة  35.87 متر وعرضها 12.5 متر بغاطس كلي  5.75 متر.. وسرعتها 13 عقدة.. كما تمتاز برفاصات ذات قدرة وكفاءة عالية مصنوعة من قبل شركة Voith الألمانية.. وماكينات من شركة DAIHATSU اليابانية.
